Chiropractic Act

In the best interest of society and public protection, the Ordre des chiropraticiens du Québec (OCQ), governed by the Professional Code, prescribes standards of practice and oversees professional service. All chiropractors who legally practise in Quebec are members of the OCQ.

Adopted in 1973, the Chiropractic Act (S.Q. 1973, c. 56) set out the rules and conditions under which chiropractors could practise in Quebec. The newest version came into effect on October 15, 2008.
